2. Read Puzzle Instructions Run Acrobat and decrypt the instructions file using the password shown above. Print and read the puzzle instructions prior to the test. Also make sure that you are familiar with the Rules as well as the Hints and Tips pages.

3. Start Test When the test begins, get the password for the test. Using Acrobat, decrypt and print the official test file.

4. Submit Answers Use the Answer Page to submit your answers before the 2 1/2 hour deadline.

5. Check Your Answers After the test, check your answers against the official Solution Sheet.

The 2009 Google U.S. Puzzle Championship will be some Saturday in late Spring 2009, lasting approximately 2 1/2 hours. Go to the 2009 registration page to sign up for the next championship; also try the practice test, and see the rules for more information.

The U.S. and Canadian puzzle teams will be selected based largely on the results of this championship.

Participation is open to puzzle solvers from all over the world and may be used by other countries -- by prior arrangements with their team organizers -- to select some or all of their team members.
