The U.S. Puzzle Championship is an annual online competition sanctioned by the World Puzzle Federation. The U.S. participates in the World Puzzle Championship, earning 14 team and 5 individual titles in 26 years.

Prague, 2007 U.S. Team 3rd Place in 2012 World Championships Thomas Snyder and Palmer Mebane finish 2nd and 3rd Kraljevica, Croatia (Oct. 7, 2012) Ulrich Voigt (GER) and Thomas Snyder (USA) led the way after two intense days of individual qualifying at the 21st World Puzzle Championship. But before the dream #1-#2 finale, each survived a set of scares in the playoffs, particularly Ulrich who was nearly eliminated on a sudoku variation against Palmer Mebane (USA) where both solvers finished the puzzle but with mistakes to fix. In the Finals, Voigt and Snyder traded blows until Voigt scored the knockout on the fourth puzzle, to win his 8th world title. Also competing for Team USA were Wei-Hwa Huang (23rd) and Jonathan Rivet (30th). In a separate team competition, Germany won its 4th team title, ahead of Japan (2nd) and USA (3rd).
